Why was Carbon Design established?
Different paths have led us to where we are now. Our beginnings come from almost 20 years of working in Dresden (Germany) which is a Mecca for European composites and working on breakthrough renewable energy sources. This is how people with different backgrounds met and were brought together by a new goal. After working briefly for an external entity, we decided that the only right path was to set our own. A lot has changed since our beginnings, but what has not changed is the key. We constantly want to create in the highest possible quality. Our years of professional experience pushed us in the direction of composites, which became the idea of Carbon Design.
What do we do?
We offer a complete development of composite parts from the concept to the start of production in our plant, at the customer’s location or based on proven partners in the selected manufacturing technology.
We carry out mainly processes enabling to achieve high repeatability and quality of the detail. We work using many complementary technologies. You can find out more about them in the technology section.
Regardless of the order, the ultimate goal for us is always the highest quality of composites.
We got it!
In the competition “COMPOSITE INDUSTRY INNOVATION 2022” in the category “Technology” our solutions and developed technology have been noticed and appreciated. The award honors our efforts and aspirations to what sometimes seems impossible or very difficult to achieve.
Our solutions will not only automate the production of composite parts, shorten the production time, but also significantly reduce waste. During the manufacturing of composite hollow elements by our method only 0,5% of the target product’s waste mass is generated. This is not only a huge saving for the customer, but also a very positive impact on the environment.
Amulet 1st Open Call Granted!
Together with East 4D Carbon Technology GmbH (Germany) we started the project “UL-CompPro” to produce the landing gear for ultralight helicopers based on winded profiles moulded in one step with connectors made with our technology form Forged Carbon.
